I'm back into study mode. Already ordered a bunch of books for CFA and as they slowly start to trickle in, I will start to increase my study time.

Why does it seem like every fricken movie I wanted to see last year turned out to be stinkers? Van Helsing? Sky Captain? Phantom of the Opera? I'm soooo disappointed.

Saw Beyond the Sea last Friday. Alright movie, but a very good date movie. It's quite apparent it's Kevin Spacey's labour of love. While it's never going to win an Oscar or clean up at the box office, it's very good to get your significant other "in the mood."

A very good article on investing in China...or actually, not investing in China! If you think you can get rich just by dumping a bunch of cash into the Chinese economy, think again!

I have been inspiring once again to renew my assault on the 2nd level CFA examination!

Where's the token Asian on the third season of The Apprentice? I want to go into a banal, trite and pedantic rant on the obvious ethnic oppression, blatant bigotry, and rampant racism apparent in this third season of the show? I demand at least partial representation my ethnicity because whining and bitching about misrepresentation and lack of representation is what North Americans do best!

This goes out to a certain someone out there whose father is gravely ill. I'm not one for cliches, so I'll refrain from the customary statements and virtual displays of affection that has already been conveyed by the many well wishers. Instead, all I want you to know is that regardless of the outcome, there will always be a support structure around you that will get you through this, and all other hardships in your life. All the best, to you, and all your loved ones.

Last piece of stylistic changes before I call it a day. The new colour scheme, though, is really too bold and strong and I don't think I'll be keeping it for the whole year. By summer I'll probably go with a softer, kinder, gentler tone.

Went to watch Meet the Fockers on Friday (14th). Alright film. Kinda funny, but nothing to roll on floor laughing out loud. In fact, not even worth laughing out loud. I don't know where all the exceptionally wonderful reviews come from.

Got a traffic ticket for parking on the wrong side of the curb last Sunday IN FRONT OF MY DRIVEWAY. Only reason I'm parked at the side is because the driveway was already full of my brother's friend's cars. Didn't want to plug them up. I'm rapidly losing respect for cops! Bunch of fokkers.

Wow...I wrote absolutely nothing in April. Been too busy studying for the CFA.
